We are a vibrant community dedicated to preserving the long-standing tradition of whaleboat rowing in the Bay Area. Our club is open to everyone, whether you’re a seasoned rower or new to the sport. Join us on the water to experience camaraderie, tradition, and the thrill of rowing in one of the most beautiful bays in the world. No experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and a love for the water!

Vallejo Waterfront Weekend Whaleboat races!
Every year the Vallejo Waterfront weekend features whaleboat races with teams formed by members of the community.
Anyone can form a team!
For a $250 entrance fee, we will supply the equipment and train your team to row. Then on Saturday Oct 3rd you will race head to head with 1-2 other teams for bragging rights and a trophy!
Any group of 8 can be a team! Gather your friends, co-workers, family, or neighboors and experience the thrill of competition and teamwork.
Practice sessions will begin August 16 and will continue until race day (Oct 3rd), so it’s not too late to start!
With just a few practices, you’ll be able to finish the course
Weekly Practice Times (Flexible Start Times)
Monday, Wednesday & Friday evenings: 5PM, 6PM, or 7PM
Sunday mornings: 9AM, 10AM, or 11AM
Start times are flexible and may be adjusted based on team coordination.

All practices are weather dependent for safety.
Sessions are also subject to coxswain availability.
